Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ali Carter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter tries to clinch but Harris is having none of it.
Harris blocks a head kick by Carter.
Carter throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Carter really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Harris shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Harris passes the guard and advances to mount!

Harris has hold of Carter's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Carter manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Harris takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Harris is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Carter is surviving well by controlling Harris's body position as best he can.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Carter's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
