Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chuck Liddell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Wladyslaw Raginis!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Sergei Dronov and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Liddell.
Liddell throws a series of strikes that have Raginis backpedaling.
Wladyslaw Raginis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Liddell enables Raginis to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Liddell manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Raginis makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Raginis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Liddell swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Liddell throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Raginis is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Wladyslaw Raginis wasn't active enough on the ground.
Liddell misses with a series of wild punches.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Raginis, as that shot connected.

It looks like Chuck Liddell has been cut.

Raginis gets a takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Raginis thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Raginis wants to take a breather but Liddell is having none of it.
Raginis perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Raginis is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Raginis lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Raginis seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Raginis lands a nice short elbow.

Raginis is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Liddell can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Raginis cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Liddell is rocked!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Raginis has hold of Liddell's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Liddell manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Raginis goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Liddell is on top in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wladyslaw Raginis dominated that round.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Raginis looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
