Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between The Guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ratt Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Guy's entrance music is Old Spice Guy Intro. A fine choice. Hughes has chosen Country boy can survive as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that The Guy has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily The Guy seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, The Guy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 34 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ratt Hughes!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guy throws a low kick but Hughes moves out of range easily.
Guy slips a jab from Hughes.
Hughes is looking to land body kicks.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Guy lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Hughes has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Hughes and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Guy fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Hughes scores with a jab to the head.
Guy misses with a body kick.
Hughes takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Hughes rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Guy moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A telegraphed right hand from Hughes misses the target.
Hughes looks to land a body kick but Guy moved away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Guy. Hughes does a little dance to reset his feet.
Hughes shoots in looking for a takedown. Guy tries to sprawl out of it but Hughes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Guy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Hughes has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Guy.
Guy takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Guy stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Guy wants it to stay on the feet.
Hughes throws a low kick, looking for Guy's leg but Guy calmly moves out of range.
Hughes fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hughes swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Guy thuds a left hand into Hughes's body.
Ratt Hughes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hughes throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Guy buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Hughes shoots in and bounces Guy off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Guy seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Guy pulls Hughes in close to his closed guard and prevents Hughes from doing any damage or advancing position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

We're going to have a standup here because The Guy wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Ratt Hughes dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Guy uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hughes.
Hughes jabs Guy to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Hughes looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Guy misses with a hook.
Guy avoids a punch combination nicely.
Guy feints and then cracks Hughes's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hughes down.

The fighters circle momentarily. Guy darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Hughes thuds his right hand into Guy's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Crunch! Guy slams his shin into Hughes's torso.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hughes stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Guy.
Good leg kick by Guy there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Hughes wants to land a leg kick but Guy is out of range.
Hughes moves out of range as Guy throws a body kick.
Guy scores with a decent looking hook.
The Guy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Guy tries to move into range but Hughes moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Guy bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Guy throws a good cross that connects.
Guy is looking to wear down Hughes with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Guy staying out of range there.
Hughes takes a swing at Guy's ribcage but misses.
Guy lands a really nice looking cross but Hughes seems unphased.
Guy throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hughes stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Guy gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Hughes has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Guy is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
The Guy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ratt Hughes.

Hughes throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Guy's waist but Guy gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hughes off to one side.

Ratt Hughes has got the better of the ground game so far.
Guy bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hughes's guard.
