The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rhinto is trying hard to land a takedown here. Read sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Rhinto tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Read paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rhinto.
Rhinto shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Read as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rob Rhinto. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rhinto takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Read lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Rob Rhinto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Read lands a right hook to the body.
Rhinto is breathing heavily.
Read scores with a punch to the head.

It looks like Rob Rhinto has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Read's jab looks to have found its range, popping Rhinto under the eye.
No luck for Rhinto with that takedown attempt.
Read cracks the inside of Rhinto's front leg.
Rhinto on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Good leg kick by Read there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Rhinto has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Read finds it's way round the side to connect with Rhinto's head.
Read wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Read cracks the inside of Rhinto's front leg.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Read. Rhinto shrugs it off though.
Read keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Oh Rhinto is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rhinto is aggressively charging in as Read backs up avoiding any damage. Read tosses out a jab and Rhinto runs right into it face first! Rhinto is out cold! Read dropped down on all fours and is barking in Rhinto's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!

In his post fight interview, Mark Read started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
