Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alberto Del Rio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arizona Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Del Rio comes into the arena with Requiem for a dream blaring out of the sound system. Arizona Reed will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alberto Del Rio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Arizona Reed!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reed shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Del Rio pinned against the cage. Del Rio gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Reed misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Del Rio moves away from the strike by Reed.
Reed throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Arizona Reed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Del Rio closes the distance and pushes Reed back into the cage.
Del Rio using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Reed has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Still in the clinch, Del Rio scores with a nice short uppercut.
Reed taking a breather.
Reed is trying to break free.

Del Rio breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Reed lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.


It looks like Alberto Del Rio has been cut.
Reed moves out of range as Del Rio strikes.
Del Rio is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Reed!

A bit of stalling here from Del Rio.
Del Rio throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Reed is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Del Rio has Reed pressed against the cage.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Reed.
Reed fails to pull guard.
Reed dodges an elbow strike from Del Rio.
Del Rio lands a shoulder strike.
Del Rio gets underhooks to prevent Reed's takedown attempt.
Alberto Del Rio has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arizona Reed.

Del Rio manages to break the clinch.
Reed misses with a wild combination.
Reed misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Reed thows a body shot but no joy.
Del Rio tries to clinch up but Reed circles away and keeps his distance.
Some wild striking there from Reed.
Reed throws a leg kick that is checked

and Del Rio holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Del Rio looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Del Rio is pressed up against the cage. Reed has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Del Rio down to the mat. Del Rio avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Del Rio misses the shot to the body.
Reed shoots and misses

and Del Rio counters by clinching up.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Del Rio jumps guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Del Rio wants to stand up but Reed is controlling him.
Reed's corner is telling him to maintain position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Reed postures up.
Del Rio on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Del Rio tries to get out of the position.
Reed wants to pass the guard but Del Rio is keeping the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Del Rio wants to clinch.

Del Rio gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Del Rio's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Del Rio shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Del Rio is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Del Rio tries to pass the half guard into mount. Reed knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Del Rio will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Del Rio tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Del Rio is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Del Rio wants to pass the guard but Reed is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alberto Del Rio dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Alberto Del Rio's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Reed lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Del Rio at a distance.
Del Rio drops his hands momentarily and Reed takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Jab from Reed.
Reed keeps the fight on the outside.
Reed tests Del Rio's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Del Rio doesn't manage to clinch there - Reed circles away.
Reed scores with a one two! Del Rio had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.


Del Rio is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Reed Throws a clean left jab. Reed Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Del Rio's chin! Del Rio crumbles to the ground and Reed follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Reed!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Arizona Reed!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Arizona Reed waved his t-shirt featuring Inner Beast Nutrition And Laundry's logo in front of the cameras.
