Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frank Hammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Burnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hammer comes to the cage accompanied by Slippin. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sam Burnett!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burnett lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Hammer shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Burnett defends it nicely.
Burnett shoots for a takedown but Hammer saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Burnett throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hammer was covering up waiting for the punch and Burnett finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Burnett stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Burnett rushes Hammer and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Burnett is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Hammer is defending well for now.

Burnett is controlling an arm, preventing Hammer from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

Hammer stands and steps away. Burnett gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Burnett looks to land a combination. Hammer sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Hammer doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Burnett counters with a nice body shot.
Hammer changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Burnett tries to avoid it but Hammer manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Burnett to the ground. Burnett escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Burnett rushes Hammer and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Sam Burnett showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
