Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Igor Barbosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Carolla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barbosa comes to the cage accompanied by Eye of the tiger. Carolla has chosen Gotta Get It On from Taboo 2 as his entrance music. Adam Carolla is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Leandro Rodrigues and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carolla misses with a series of wild punches.
Carolla connects with a good right hand that stumbles Barbosa. Barbosa circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Carolla connects with a looping right hand.
Carolla tries to clinch but Barbosa is having none of it.
Carolla cracks Barbosa with an open hand slap.
Carolla scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Barbosa doesn't seem bothered though.
Barbosa fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Carolla lands with a shot to the body.
Barbosa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carolla tries to avoid it but Barbosa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carolla to the ground. Carolla escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Carolla uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Barbosa has time to react.

Carolla feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Barbosas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Barbosa closes the distance and clinches up with Carolla, looking for a takedown. Barbosa pushes Carolla against the cage but Carolla circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Igor Barbosa. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Barbosa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carolla tries to avoid it but Barbosa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carolla to the ground. Carolla escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Carolla throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Barbosa stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Carolla bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Carolla has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Carolla scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Barbosa. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Barbosa throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Carolla's waist but Carolla gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Barbosa off to one side.

Well Carolla has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
