Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Charles Martel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ed Gein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Martel comes to the cage accompanied by Dreams - The Game. Gein has chosen Dead Skin Mask as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gein displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Martel.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Martel creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Martel has Gein pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Gein manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Martel breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gein tries to bum rush Martel with a series of wild strikes but Martel uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Martel shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gein as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charles Martel. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Gein tries to land a front kick but Martel steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Gein throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Martel fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gein avoids it really well and circles away.
Gein throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Martel on the side of the head.

and Gein counters with a good low kick that Martel was not able to check.

Martel misses with a takedown attempt - Gein sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gein lands with a straight right. Martel didn't see that one coming.
Martel closes the distance and clinches up with Gein, looking for a takedown. Martel pushes Gein against the cage but Gein circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Martel throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Martel changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gein tries to avoid it but Martel manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gein to the ground. Gein escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Gein is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Gein regains full guard. Nicely done.
Gein is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Martel is controlling him.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Martel shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gein as he jumps to the side.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Martel shoots for a takedown but Gein saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

letting Gein counter with a right hand.
Gein lands a lovely overhand right.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Martel.

Gein lands a big head kick that sends Martel tumbling to the mat! Gein takes a step backwards and waves Martel back to his feet - he wants the finish!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Gein lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Martel up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Gein from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Martel's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
