The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ciosek takes a swing at Carose's ribcage but misses.
Ciosek stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ciosek wants it to stay on the feet.
Carose shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ciosek but Ciosek pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Carose throws out a loose jab but Ciosek uses good head movement to avoid it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nice uppercut lands for Ciosek. That snapped Carose's head back.

Ciosek cracks Carose with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
