Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ben Duhrover!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vahid Sagyndykov!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sagyndykov avoids the body shot from Duhrover.
Sagyndykov shoots in for a takedown but Duhrover shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Sagyndykov doesn't manage to clinch there - Duhrover circles away.

Duhrover throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

and Duhrover decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sagyndykov's guard.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Duhrover's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Duhrover is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Sagyndykov can't fight it off and eventually Duhrover manages to take the fight to the floor. Sagyndykov looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ben Duhrover.

Duhrover darts in and clinches Sagyndykov up against the cage.

Sagyndykov is looking to take this one to the mat.

Duhrover tightens his grip and picks Sagyndykov up, before dumping him to the ground. Sagyndykov manages to land in guard.

Duhrover is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Duhrover wants to control from the top but Sagyndykov keeps moving.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Duhrover accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Duhrover has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Sagyndykov has momentary wrist control but Duhrover slips an elbow through the middle.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sagyndykov is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Duhrover is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Duhrover has escaped and now he's on top!

Duhrover is pushing down on Sagyndykov's leg trying to pass to half guard. Sagyndykov is fighting to maintain full guard but Duhrover has managed to sneak the leg through.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Duhrover seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sagyndykov does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Duhrover takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Sagyndykov is refusing to be controlled, as Duhrover sits in half guard.
Duhrover working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

and Duhrover counters by moving into the clinch.

Duhrover wants the takedown. Sagyndykov is fighting it off but Duhrover persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Sagyndykov's guard against the cage.

Sagyndykov bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Duhrover's guard.

Sagyndykov is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Duhrover is just riding it out for now. Sagyndykov eventually gives up the hold.

Duhrover has Sagyndykov pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Duhrover pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Sagyndykov tumbling to the mat - Duhrover dives into Sagyndykov's guard.

Sagyndykov looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Duhrover puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Sagyndykov tries to kick Duhrover off in order to stand up. Duhrover Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Duhrover scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Sagyndykov to see if he's OK.
