The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuhula connects with a crisp jab.

Kuhula stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Kuhula throws a looping overhand right but Abel ducks down to avoid it.

Abel takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Abel takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Kuhula will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Abel takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Abel goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

A jab-cross combination lands for Abel and sends Kuhula crashing to the mat! Abel follows him down to the mat - Kuhula regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kuhula tries to bum rush Abel with a series of wild strikes but Abel uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Abel lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kuhula circles away quickly and effectively.

Kuhula looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Abel misses with a straight right.
Kuhula misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Cain Abel's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Cain Abel's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
