The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velko misses with a leg kick.
Velko moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Ocena Jr throws a body kick that misses.
Ocena Jr shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Velko as he avoids it easily.
Ocena Jr misses with a head kick.
A combination from Velko does no damage.
Ocena Jr misses with a head kick.
Velko fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ocena Jr manages to avoid it.
Velko lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Rory Velko is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Velko throws a series of punches but Ocena Jr moves out of range.
Ocena Jr throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rory Velko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Velko gets caught flat footed, as Ocena Jr shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Ocena Jr postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Velko looks a forlorn figure.

Velko is bucking up trying to escape but Ocena Jr cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Ocena Jr lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

The referee warns Velko that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
