Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jason Stern (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Topi Takala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Takala is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Volga. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takala looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Takala misses with a hook to the body
and Stern counters with a nice uppercut.
Stern on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Nice sprawl there from Takala as Stern shoots in.
Stern throws a head kick that misses.
Stern checks the leg kick.
Nice jab there from Takala.
Stern lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Stern throws a head kick that Takala semi-blocks.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Takala fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Stern has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Takala walks into a stiff left hand from Stern.

Takala misses the shot to the body.
Takala throws a quick inside leg kick.
Stern throws a hook but Takala avoids it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Stern shoots in for a takedown but Takala shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Stern. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Stern chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Takala can pounce on him.

Stern takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Takala with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Stern is breathing heavily.
Takala feints and then cracks Stern's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Stern down.
Stern pivots, looking for a leg kick but Takala is out of range and Stern settles back down.
Takala is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Donk. Takala catches Stern right on the button with a cross.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Stern with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Takala to score with a decent uppercut.
Takala lands with a thumping leg kick.
Takala has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Some bone on bone action there as Stern checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Stern walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Takala ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Stern thows a leg kick but Takala checks it
and Takala counters with a nice body kick.
Takala lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Takala is looking to slow Stern down with leg kicks.
Stern is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Takala dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Stern sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Takala lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Stern can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Takala and Stern drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Takala.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Topi Takala!
An out of breath Topi Takala thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
