Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

23 - 35 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Jaromir Jag!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jag darts in trying to clinch
and Gillespie counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Jag is looking to clinch but Gillespie is avoiding it.
Jag wants to clinch but Gillespie slips to the side
enabling Gillespie to counter with a crisp jab.
Gillespie throws a sloppy head kick and Jag moves out of range easily.
Jaromir Jag seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gillespie. Jag does a little dance to reset his feet.
Gillespie throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Gillespie misses with a head kick.
Gillespie fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Gillespie throws a lazy right hand but Jag sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Jag tries to clinch up
and Gillespie counters with an inside leg kick.
Jag tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Gillespie manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Jag wants to clinch but Gillespie slips to the side
and Gillespie counters with a good, hard body kick but Jag shrugs it off.
Jag closes the distance looking to clinch
and Gillespie counters with a nice uppercut.
Gillespie throws a good cross that connects.

Jag tries to clinch up
and Gillespie counters with an outside leg kick.
Jag tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Gillespie counters with a nice low kick that buckles Jag's knee momentarily.
Jag tries to clinch up.
Gillespie throws a head kick that misses
and Jag counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Gillespie is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Jag avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Good leg kick by Gillespie there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Jag closes the distance but Gillespie moves to the side
and Gillespie finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Jag tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Gillespie counters with a low kick, right behind Jag 's knee.
A head kick misses from Gillespie.
Jag fails with an attempt to clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jag looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jag closes the distance looking to clinch
and Gillespie connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gillespie takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

and Gillespie counters with a good, hard body kick but Jag shrugs it off.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

and Gillespie counters with a stiff right hand.
Jag throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Gillespie darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Gillespie circles away from the clinch attempt
and Gillespie counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Gillespie looks to land a combination but Jag avoids it well.

Jag tries to close the distance and clinch but Gillespie swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Gillespie tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Jag misses with an attempted mid kick.

Gillespie scores with a head kick. Jag tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

and Gillespie counters with a flying knee that drops Jag! Gillespie dives in and finishes the fight with a flurry of strikes from the mount!
