Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Chase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chase Gamble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chase's entrance music is All the Above - Maino. A fine choice. Gamble has chosen Remember the Name - Fort Minor as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Chase!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chase Gamble!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gamble is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Gamble throws a nice looking combination but Chase bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Chase shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Gamble tries to reverse the position but Chase maintains control.
Chase misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Chase trying to control but Gamble is having none of it.
Gamble is trying desperately to improve position.
Chase wants to control the pace but Gamble is squirming around nicely.
Gamble is trying to escape the mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gamble gets back to half guard.

Gamble tries to roll over but Chase keeps him under control.
Gamble is trying to stand up here but Chase is controlling him well.

Gamble is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Chase pulls his head out easily.
The fighters are battling for position here. Gamble manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Chase passes Gamble's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Gamble is staying active underneath Chase, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Gamble tries to get to full guard but Chase has control of the leg.
Well, if Chase is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gamble actively working from the bottom here.
Gamble looks gassed!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Chase works his way into full mount!
Chase sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Chase with a couple of short strikes.
Gamble is trying desperately to improve position.
Chase postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Gamble looks a forlorn figure.

Chase landing strikes from the mount.
Chase prevents Gamble from getting the reversal.
Gamble is trying to reverse the position but instead Chase has taken his back - oops!
Gamble tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Chase controlling the position easily from mount.
Gamble is looking to improve his position but Chase isn't that keen on the idea.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
A nice elbow there by Chase.
Chase working the ground and pound effectively.
Chase landing strikes, looking to finish!
Gamble is in all sorts of trouble here.
Chase tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Chase looking to control but Gamble is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Chase stands up from mount. Strange move.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Chase throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Gamble counters with a nice uppercut.

Chase gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Gamble can't find room to land a body shot as Chase controls the action.
Chase fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Chase managing to block the knees to the body from Gamble.
Gamble lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Chase or not.

Gamble breaks the clinch.
Left hook, right uppercut from Gamble.
Chase staying out of range there.

Chase shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Chase prevents Gamble from getting the reversal.
Poor strikes thrown by Chase there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Gamble defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Chase.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Chase trying to control but Gamble is having none of it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gamble manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Chase looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Gamble is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Gamble slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Chase trying to control but Gamble is working from the bottom.

Chase avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Gamble working for submissions but it's allowed Chase to get to half guard.

Chase is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Gamble wants to get back to his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Gamble gets back to full guard.

Gamble throws his legs up looking for a submission but Chase uses it to pass to side control.
Gamble sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Gamble is trying to get back to full guard.

Gamble is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Chase pulls his head out easily.

Gamble looking for submissions off his back.
Gamble wants to improve his position but Chase is controlling well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Chase Gamble will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Gamble lands a high kick!
Chase closes the distance and clinches up with Gamble, looking for a takedown. Chase pushes Gamble against the cage but Gamble circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Chase walks into a stiff left hand from Gamble.
Gamble tries to clinch but Chase is having none of it.
Gamble misses with a looping right.
Gamble throws a right and a left that Chase avoids nicely.
Chase tries a head kick but it misses.
Gamble throws a nice looking combination but Chase bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Chase misses with a double jab.
The fighters circling - Gamble throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Gamble tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Chase paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Gamble dips to his left and cracks Chase with an uppercut!
Chase tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Gamble doesn't manage to clinch there - Chase circles away.
Gamble throws a jab but it's blocked by Chase.

Gamble throws a big shot that misses.
Chase shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gamble as he avoids it easily.
Gamble scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Gamble tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chase swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Gamble stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Chase. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Chase ducks under a wild hook from Gamble.
Gamble misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Chase moves into the clinch.
Gamble lands a body shot in the clinch.
Gamble is trying to maintain a safe position but Chase gets an underhook and turns Gamble into the cage.
Chase tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Chase tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Gamble smiles and moves away.
Gamble swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Gamble misses with a looping left.
Chase moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Gamble throws a good cross that connects.
Gamble misses the jab.
A big left from Gamble misses.
Gamble wants to clinch

so Chase counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Chase controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Chase stands and throws Gamble's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Chase remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Gamble tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Chase prevents Gamble from escaping the position.

Chase misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

Chase wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gamble, who protects the arm well.
Gamble tries to buck Chase off but Chase is having none of it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Gamble displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Gamble looks to throw the jab but Chase is out of range.
Gamble closes the distance looking to clinch

and Chase counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The is referee keeping an eye on Chase - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Chase missing with knees to the body.
Chase drops down looking for an ankle pick but Gamble pulls his leg out and moves away.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Gamble.
Gamble throws a jab but it's blocked by Chase.
Chase Gamble seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gamble drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Gamble looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Gamble tries for a kimura but Chase is defending well.

And that's the end of the fight!
Chase Gamble comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Gamble has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
