Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bernard Nyamondi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gianni Visnadi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nyamondi comes into the arena with Volbeat - A Warriors Call blaring out of the sound system. Visnadi has chosen Blind by Korn as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nyamondi scores with a takedown into Visnadi's guard.
Nyamondi postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Visnadi drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Nyamondi dives on top into guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Bernard Nyamondi will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Visnadi throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Nyamondi stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Visnadi closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Nyamondi's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nyamondi sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Visnadi's guard.

Nyamondi is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Visnadi still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Visnadi has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Nyamondi on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Nyamondi uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Visnadi.
Visnadi connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Nyamondi fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Visnadi throws a hook to the side of Nyamondi's head but Nyamondi sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bernard Nyamondi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Horrible takedown by Nyamondi or perhaps it was just good defense by Visnadi which made him look bad.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Visnadi.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Visnadi closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Visnadi might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Nyamondi kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Visnadi has gone for a leg lock! Nyamondi slips out almost immediately though and dives into Visnadi's guard.

Nyamondi is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Visnadi is just riding it out for now. Nyamondi eventually gives up the hold.
