The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kultainen changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Golom looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Both fighters take a look at the clock.

Kultainen is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Golom knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Golom regains half guard.

Kultainen is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Golom has eaten all the pies!

Kultainen is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Kultainen wants to free his trapped foot but Golom is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Golom tries to roll over but Kultainen keeps him under control.

Golom has his foot on Kultainen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kultainen works his way back into a safe position though.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Kultainen closes the distance and clinches up with Golom, looking for a takedown. Kultainen pushes Golom against the cage but Golom circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Kultainen looks to land a right hand but Golom moved out of range.
Kultainen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Golom moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kultainen tries to clinch up but Golom circles away and keeps his distance.

Golom goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kultainen prevents it.
Golom has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kultainen avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Kultainen has Golom pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Golom manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Golom tightens his grip and picks Kultainen up, before dumping him to the ground. Kultainen manages to land in guard.

Kultainen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Golom can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kultainen has hold of Golom's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Golom manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Golom is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Kultainen locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Golom is forced to tap!
