The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A solid leg kick lands there for Mieto.
Mieto wants to land a leg kick but Fayth is out of range.
Mieto misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Fayth shoots in for a takedown but Mieto shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Fayth thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Mieto misses with a low kick as Fayth jumps back.

Mieto scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Fayth doesn't seem bothered though.

Fayth closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Mieto's guard.
Mieto can't keep his opponent in guard - Fayth advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Mieto tries to get to full guard but Fayth has control of the leg.
Mieto is trying to control but can't.
Mieto is not content to let Fayth control the position.
Mieto really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fayth. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mieto won't allow Fayth to pass to mount.

Fayth wants to pass to mount but Mieto is defending the position.
Fayth misses with a head shot. Mieto uses the momentum to regain guard.

Fayth working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Mieto's head.

Fayth has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Fayth drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fayth jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Mieto looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Fayth sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mieto's guard.
Fayth thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mieto's head.

Fayth sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Mieto is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Fayth is working to tighten is grip on Mieto's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Mieto has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Fayth is really squeezing tight and eventually Mieto passes out! Fayth breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
