Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hugh Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zen Blood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Hugh Armstrong has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Hugh Armstrong seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 1, fighting out of London, Zen Blood!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Ackerman and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Armstrong swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Armstrong stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Armstrong wants it to stay on the feet.
Blood tries to score a power double leg takedown but Armstrong sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Blood somewhat.
Blood misses with a takedown attempt - Armstrong sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Hugh Armstrong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zen Blood.
Armstrong shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Blood as he avoids it easily.
Blood blocks the body kick.

and Armstrong counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Armstrong.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Blood is on top in guard.

Blood drops back looking for a leg! Armstrong is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Armstrong manages to kick Blood off! Blood jumps back into Armstrong's guard.

Blood drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Blood jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Armstrong is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Blood drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Armstrong dives on top into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Blood is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Armstrong frees his head nicely. Oh but Blood has switched to an armbar! Armstrong is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Armbar). Zen Blood!
Zen Blood took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.
