Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Chuck Huerta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kazushi Sakuraba!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Damien Edna and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakuraba throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sakuraba missing with a left hand there. Huerta was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Sakuraba connects with a solid leg kick.
Sakuraba lands a nice looking body kick.
A slapping leg kick lands for Sakuraba.
Sakuraba thuds a left hand into Huerta's body.
Some bone on bone action there as Sakuraba checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Sakuraba lands a nice leg kick that just misses Huerta's sensitive parts.
Sakuraba throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Huerta.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Huerta misses with a few strikes there.
Sakuraba connects with a right hand. Huerta shakes it off.
A big left from Sakuraba misses.
Huerta has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Sakuraba.
Sakuraba with a body punch. A glancing blow.

Huerta takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Sakuraba lands with a good body shot.
Sakuraba throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Kazushi Sakuraba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Huerta is breathing heavily.
Huerta walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
A good leg kick by Sakuraba.
Sakuraba lands with a nice body kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A head kick from Sakuraba lands but Huerta takes it in his stride.
Sakuraba lands with a thumping leg kick.
Sakuraba scores with a nice right hand.
Huerta walks into a jab.
Nice uppercut there from Sakuraba.


Huerta is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Huerta tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Sakuraba counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Oh Huerta is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sakuraba feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Huerta's calf.
Are you kidding me?! Sakuraba ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Huerta clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kazushi Sakuraba!
A very excited looking Kazushi Sakuraba made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
