Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jake Daye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rand Al Thor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Al Thor clinches up with Daye and pushes him back against the cage.

Daye has picked Al Thor up - he's going for a ride! Daye dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Al Thor is trying to get back to his feet but Daye has full control of the position and if anything, Al Thor has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Daye tries to close the distance and clinch but Al Thor swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Daye misses with a takedown attempt - Al Thor sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

That was a close round but I would say that Jake Daye will probably get the nod.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
