Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nikola Fischer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josimar Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Josimar Souza struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Fischer. Souza shrugs it off though.
Fischer thuds a left hand into Souza's body.
Fischer stuffs the takedown.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Souza goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Fischer rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Souza's guard! Nice work there by Fischer!

Souza throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Fischer escapes and throws Souza's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Fischer wants to control but Souza is keeping him busy.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Souza can do anything to dispel that myth.
Souza sneaks back into half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Souza strikes from the bottom but Fischer passes into mount!

Souza regains half guard.
Souza tries to get to full guard but Fischer has control of the leg.

Fischer uses his free foot to push down on Souza's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Souza.

Souza is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Fischer trying to control but Souza is having none of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fischer tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Fischer cracks Souza with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Fischer has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Souza to stand back up!

Nikola Fischer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fischer dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Souza. That did some damage!
Fischer throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Souza stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Fischer sends Souza crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Fischer is motioning to the referee to let Souza up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Souza is still on wobbly legs! Can Fischer finish him?
Souza walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Fischer swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
