Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Borgen Stein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stein comes into a darkened arena with his song building. 'Don't Believe the Hype', by Public Enemy. kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stein fails with a takedown attempt.
Thompson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Stein tests Thompson's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Thompson fails to land the takedown.
Stein throws a leg kick that misses.
Thompson gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Thompson shoots for a takedown but Stein saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Stein with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Stein scores with a nice right hand.
Thompson gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Stein.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Thompson shoots for a double leg takedown but Stein sprawls well. He's pushed Thompson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Thompson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A left and a right from Stein both land. Nice combination.
Stein throws a series of strikes that have Thompson backpedaling.

Thompson is rocked!
Thompson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Stein counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Thompson is breathing heavily.
Stein throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Thompson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Thompson fails with a takedown attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stein scores with a jab. Thompson acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Stein drops Thompson with a beautiful combination! Thompson stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Stein is looking for the KO!
Oh Thompson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Thompson shoots and misses
and Stein rattles Thompson with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Thompson tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Stein dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Thompson stiff and motionless on the mat!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Borgen Stein!
Borgen Stein decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
