Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tamong Kodo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Couture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Couture shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kodo manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Kodo wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Couture is now in half guard.

Couture shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kodo as he avoids it easily.

Couture closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kodo to the mat! Kodo manages to get full guard.

Kodo controlling well, preventing Couture from escaping the position.

Kodo is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Couture knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Couture for a finish.

Couture shoots in looking for a takedown. Kodo tries to sprawl out of it but Couture keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kodo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Nice takedown defense from Kodo. No joy for Couture on that attempt.
