Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Robert Szumilas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akiro Sata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Patrick Alders and Paul Aken.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Szumilas tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Szumilas gets caught flat footed, as Sata shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Sata with a flurry of punches that miss.

Sata throws an elbow that misses. Szumilas uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Sata's guard. Nice move by Szumilas!

Sata has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Szumilas can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sata escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Szumilas gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Sata pulls Szumilas in close to his closed guard and prevents Szumilas from doing any damage or advancing position.

Sata bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Szumilas's head backwards.

and Szumilas decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sata's guard.
Szumilas wants to control from the top but Sata keeps moving.

Szumilas got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sata has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Szumilas has managed to get both his arms back between Sata's legs - danger averted.

Sata controls Szumilas momentarily but Szumilas frees himself.
Sata is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Robert Szumilas.
Sata fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Szumilas avoids it really well and circles away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Szumilas keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Sata looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Szumilas is fending him off so far but Sata persists. Nope, Szumilas circles away and we're back to standing.
Sata dives in and grabs Szumilas's left leg, looking for a takedown. Szumilas pushes down on Sata's head and hops out.
Szumilas looks for the body kick but Sata saw that one coming.

Szumilas moves into range and clinches up with Sata.
Sata changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Szumilas fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Robert Szumilas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Akiro Sata.

Szumilas gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Sata has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Szumilas after a bit of a struggle.
Sata is trying to drag Szumilas to the mat but Szumilas just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Sata misses with some punches.
Sata is looking to take this one to the mat.

Szumilas jumps into guard, dragging Sata to the mat.
Szumilas utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Szumilas wants to get back to his feet but Sata is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Sata drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Sata seems to have locked his on tight now - Szumilas screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Sata, as he picks up the win!
