Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McDonald feints and as Dooalot raises his hands in defense, McDonald changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Dooalot is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst McDonald is controlling him.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dooalot pulls McDonald in close to his closed guard and prevents McDonald from doing any damage or advancing position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McDonald accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
McDonald wants to control from the top but Dooalot keeps moving.

McDonald is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Dooalot is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Dooalot has escaped and now he's on top!

Dooalot throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
McDonald blocks a low kick nicely.

Dooalot keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

James Dooalot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tommy McDonald.
McDonald throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dooalot's waist but Dooalot gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McDonald off to one side.
Dooalot changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Dooalot lands a nice looking kick to the body. McDonald takes a step back to recover.

Dooalot connects with a leg kick. McDonald looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Dooalot feints and then cracks McDonald's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow McDonald down.
McDonald misses with a looping left.

McDonald closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

McDonald working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Dooalot tries to bench press McDonald off him but McDonald keeps the position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dooalot circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! McDonald drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Dooalot follows McDonald to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
