Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Almeida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Carneiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carneiro comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Rasmus - In the Shadows kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Carneiro has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Almeida lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Almeida tries to close the distance and clinch but Carneiro swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Carneiro circles away from the clinch attempt.

Almeida has managed to clinch.
Almeida wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Carneiro prevents Almeida from breaking the clinch.
Almeida is trying to stall.
Carneiro keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Almeida's efforts to push away.
Almeida wants to break free but Carneiro has control.

Almeida misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Carneiro bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Almeida can't do much from the bottom here.

Daniel Carneiro opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
