Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Phantom Menace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikal Helio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Menace comes to the cage accompanied by Leroy Brown. Helio is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by You are the best Around!. Phantom Menace could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Mikal Helio's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Helio connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Helio takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Helio fails to land the takedown.
Menace chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Helio can pounce on him.
Menace misses with a body shot.
Menace cracks Helio with an open hand slap.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Menace holds on and takes a little breather.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Phantom Menace just wasn't active enough.
Helio throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Menace's head.
Helio is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Menace.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Menace shoots in looking for a takedown. Helio tries to sprawl out of it but Menace keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Helio manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Menace counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

Helio looks up at the clock. Bad move! Menace lands a right hand from hell, dropping Helio. Menace pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
