The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stanislav tries to clinch but Filho is having none of it.
Joao Filho seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Filho throws a series of punches but Stanislav avoids them all with ease.
Stanislav swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sloppy strikes from Filho. Those never looked like landing.

Stanislav moves into the clinch successfully.
Filho is trying to push Stanislav away but Stanislav has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Stanislav throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Filho blocks it with crossed arms.

Stanislav gets control of Filho's arms and successfully pulls guard. Stanislav will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Stanislav is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Filho frees his head nicely. Oh but Stanislav has switched to an armbar! Filho is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
