PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cory Flanagen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Marabou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Flanagen comes to the cage accompanied by Good Day To Die. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flanagen takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

It looks like Cory Flanagen has been cut.
Flanagen slips a jab and a cross from Marabou.
Marabou will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Marabou lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Flanagen circles away quickly and effectively.
Marabou wants to clinch.

Flanagen closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Marabou's guard.
Flanagen throws an elbow that misses. Marabou uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Flanagen's guard. Nice move by Marabou!
Flanagen is trying to control the position but Marabou postures up.
Flanagen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Marabou manages to get himself to full guard.
Flanagen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Marabou on the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Flanagen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Marabou is looking to stand up but Flanagen isn't so interested in that idea.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Flanagen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Marabou swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Cory Flanagen will probably get the nod.

Gary Marabou really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Empire Threads logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
