The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from O Reilly enables bj to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. O Reilly manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
O Reilly is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

bj tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no bj has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
O Reilly is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, bj asserts his dominance and retains side control.
