Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Robert Szumilas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fae Wox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wox lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Wox scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Szumilas checks the leg kick.

Szumilas closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Wox is trying to improve his position.

so Szumilas counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Wox is looking for a triangle but Szumilas pushes his legs off easily.

Wox can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Szumilas controls the pace.
Szumilas is working Wox over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Szumilas drops back looking for a leg! Wox is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wox manages to kick Szumilas off! Szumilas jumps back into Wox's guard.

Wox is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Wox can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Szumilas controls the pace.
Szumilas makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Szumilas postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Wox really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Szumilas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wox is looking to stand up but Szumilas isn't so interested in that idea.
Wox has momentary wrist control but Szumilas slips an elbow through the middle.
