Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Clubber Lang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Fayth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fayth has chosen Awry Decade - Aisle of Denial as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Clubber Lang!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ray Fayth!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lang connects with a crisp jab.
Clubber Lang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fayth shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Lang napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Fayth wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lang keeps working.
You can see the frustration on Lang's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Fayth passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Lang!

Lang wants to control but Fayth is having none of it.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fayth throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Fayth prevents Lang from getting the reversal.

Fayth wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Fayth postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Lang looks a forlorn figure.
Lang tries to hold on but Fayth pushes him away.

Fayth is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Lang to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Lang shrugs it off.

Fayth is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Lang can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Lang avoids a series of strikes thrown by Fayth.

Fayth goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Lang turns into him and now he's in Fayth's guard.

Lang stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fayth swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Ray Fayth dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Fayth ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Fayth uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lang.
Fayth misses with a body shot.
Lang stuffs the takedown.
Lang throws a leg kick but Fayth moved away.
Fayth shoots in and drives through. Lang sprawls well.
Fayth shoots in looking for a takedown. Lang tries to sprawl out of it but Fayth keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lang manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Clubber Lang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ray Fayth.
Fayth avoids the body shot from Lang.
A telegraphed right hand from Fayth misses the target.
Lang throws a big shot that misses.
Good leg kick by Lang there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Fayth is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Fayth looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Fayth tries to pass the half guard into mount. Lang knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Fayth is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Lang has managed to free his arm - good work.
Fayth moves nicely into side control.
Fayth laying and praying for a moment but Lang takes advantage and regains half guard.
Fayth throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Lang is looking for a sweep. Fayth is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Fayth is looking for a kimura but Lang is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Fayth to get the leverage.

Fayth is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Lang still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Lang has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Ray Fayth showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Lang's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Lang throws a lazy right hand but Fayth sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Lang connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Lang tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Fayth was well out of range. Poor timing from Lang.
Fayth uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lang.

Lang misses with a hook. Fayth ducked under it nicely.
Fayth pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Fayth shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lang as he avoids it easily.

Fayth throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lang was covering up waiting for the punch and Fayth finishes the takedown easily into guard.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


A head kick misses from Fayth.
Fayth changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lang tries to avoid it but Fayth manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lang to the ground. Lang escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Lang throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Fayth needs to keep his hands up - Lang had a free shot at his head there.

Fayth tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lang sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fayth somewhat.

and Lang counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Lang tried to score with a low kick but Fayth checks it.
Fayth misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Horrible takedown by Fayth or perhaps it was just good defense by Lang which made him look bad.
Lang fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Fayth has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Fayth moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Lang is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Fayth.
Fayth has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
