The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murquite looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ritter is fending him off so far but Murquite persists. Nope, Ritter circles away and we're back to standing.
Ritter throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Murquite shoots in for a double leg but Ritter sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Ritter counters with a good low kick that Murquite was not able to check.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Abdoul Murquite. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ritter lands a big head kick that sends Murquite tumbling to the mat! Ritter takes a step backwards and waves Murquite back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Abdoul Murquite has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ritter throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Murquite crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
