Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Baha Beison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Mahonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Baha Beison has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mahonen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Mahonen fails with an attempt to clinch.

Mahonen drives through and clinches with Beison against the cage.

Beison lands a takedown into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Beison thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Mahonen wants to control the position but Beison says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Mahonen tries to roll over but Beison keeps him under control.
Mahonen is staying active underneath Beison, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Mahonen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Beison. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Beison is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Beison thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Beison wants to control but Mahonen is keeping him busy.
Mahonen is trying to get back to full guard.

Beison decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Beison keeps the fight on the outside.

Beison moves into the clinch.
Mahonen is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Beison gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Mahonen has Beison pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Beison manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Baha Beison has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Mahonen.

Beison is trying to push Mahonen away but Mahonen has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Mahonen is looking to take a break and control but Beison is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Beison looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Beison is looking to sinch up a triangle. Mahonen throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Beison's body to avoid the submission. Beison has instead reached around Mahonen's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Beison arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
