The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mutti connects with a good right hand that stumbles Brett. Brett circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Mutti avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Mutti misses the shot to the body.
Mutti misses with a straight left.
Brett throws a low kick but it's checked well by Mutti.
Brett throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mutti's waist but Mutti gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Brett off to one side.
Brett misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Mutti.
Mutti fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Mutti ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Brett moves away.
Brett's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Mutti connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Brett scrambles back to his feet.
Brett doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Mutti tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Brett paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Brett fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mutti avoids it really well and circles away.
Brett misses with a takedown attempt - Mutti sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Mutti lands with a hook. Brett tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Brett shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Brett showed some decent athleticism there.

Brett is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Brett is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mutti doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Brett.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Mutti tries to get to full guard but Brett has control of the leg.

Brett with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Mutti to score with a decent uppercut.
Brett uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Mutti.
Brett looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mutti is fending him off so far but Brett persists. Nope, Mutti circles away and we're back to standing.

Mutti tries to close the distance and clinch but Brett swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Mutti lands a nice hook to Brett's body. Brett takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Horrible takedown by Brett or perhaps it was just good defense by Mutti which made him look bad.
Mutti throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Mutti feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Bretts jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Mutti lands an elbow just above Brett 's eye.
Brett tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Mutti smiles and moves away.

Mutti tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Brett was well out of range. Poor timing from Mutti.

Brett does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

A looping hook to the body misses from Mutti. Brett does a little dance to reset his feet.

Brett tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Brett has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Brett gets to mount! Mutti was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Mutti tries to reverse the position but Brett maintains control.

Brett is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Mutti can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Brett is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Mutti has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Mutti!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close second round but I would say that Benny Brett will probably get the nod.

Brett shoots in looking for a takedown but Mutti manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Brett's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Brett feints and as Mutti raises his hands in defense, Brett changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Brett maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Mutti could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Brett has cracked it and Mutti is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Brett!

Benny Brett tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
