The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pettersson connects with a leg kick. Skank looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Pettersson blocks a head kick by Skank.

Skank drops Pettersson with a left right combo! Skank follows him down to the ground into side control.

It looks like Christer Pettersson has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Pettersson tries to control but Skank manages to take his back.
Pettersson is still in real trouble! Can Skank finish him?
Skank trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Pettersson is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Skank off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Pettersson connects with a body shot that sends Skank's belly button to the back.

Skank looks to score with a jab to the body but Pettersson is just out of range.

Skank lands a head kick that stumbles Pettersson and the fighters go to the mat.
Pettersson wants to sweep here but Skank controlling him for the moment.

A decent looking cross lands there for Pettersson.
That kick from Pettersson tenderised Skank's leg. Skank is trying to keep his angry face on.

The fighters circle momentarily. Pettersson darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Skank is rocked!
Pettersson finds Skank's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Skank flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Pettersson lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Skank will be OK.
