Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Tripper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duncan McAlister (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tripper comes to the cage accompanied by Disturbed - Land Of Confusion. Duncan McAlister will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jack Tripper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 14 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Duncan McAlister!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tripper closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Tripper seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Tripper wants to lay and pray for a moment but McAlister keeps working.
McAlister is looking to control Tripper's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can McAlister avoid being mounted?
McAlister is looking for a sweep. Tripper is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Tripper sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. McAlister defending well though.

Tripper takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Tripper is looking for a kimura but McAlister is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Tripper to get the leverage.
McAlister tries to roll over but Tripper keeps him under control.
McAlister is staying active underneath Tripper, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Tripper is working for a kimura but McAlister is defending it quite comfortably.
McAlister has hold of Tripper's hands but Tripper slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Tripper slows the pace down in half guard.
McAlister wants to get back to his feet.

Tripper has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

McAlister looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McAlister not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Tripper looking to pass the guard.
Tripper looking to sit in guard and control but McAlister gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Tripper holds on and takes a little breather.
Tripper controls McAlister momentarily but McAlister frees himself.
Tripper is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Jack Tripper just wasn't active enough.
Tripper connects with a leg kick. McAlister looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Tripper swats away the attempt to clinch by McAlister.
Tripper lands a nice looking body kick.
McAlister tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McAlister doesn't manage to clinch there - Tripper circles away.
Tripper checks the leg kick nicely there.
A low kick from Tripper is predictable there
and McAlister makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Tripper throws a lazy body kick
and McAlister counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
McAlister ducks right into an uppercut from Tripper.
McAlister connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Tripper blocks a jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tripper darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
McAlister wants to control but Tripper is keeping busy and won't allow it.
McAlister is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Tripper is staying active.

Tripper is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and McAlister defends it well.
Tripper seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but McAlister does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Tripper wants to pass to mount but McAlister is defending the position.
McAlister regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Tripper.

McAlister keeping moving, preventing Tripper from controlling successfully.
Tripper is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Tripper might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jack Tripper.
McAlister moves in looking to clinch but Tripper pushes him off.

Tripper is looking to control McAlister's arms but McAlister gets an underhook and turns him. Now Tripper has his back to the cage.

McAlister lands a shoulder strike.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Tripper.
Tripper tries to throw a body punch but McAlister avoids it by throwing Tripper back against the cage.
Tripper misses with a hook from the clinch.

McAlister misses with some punches.

McAlister blocks the elbow strike.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
McAlister lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Tripper looking to slow down the pace here.
McAlister dodges an elbow strike from Tripper.

Tripper pushes McAlister back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Tripper prevents a body shot from McAlister.
Tripper will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning McAlister up against the cage.

McAlister scores with a nice hook to the head.
Tripper misses with the head strike.

McAlister is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Tripper pushes off an throws an elbow but McAlister leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Tripper tries to work over McAlister's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Tripper manages to break the clinch.
McAlister swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Tripper counters with a left and a right that stings McAlister.
Nice straight punches there by Tripper. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Tripper.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Tripper. McAlister shrugs it off though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Tripper throws a nice outside leg kick.
Tripper dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on McAlister. That did some damage!
McAlister takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
McAlister walks into a jab.
Tripper is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that McAlister can do to turn this around?
Tripper fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and McAlister has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Tripper throws a leg kick which misses McAlister's front leg but catches the back leg as McAlister tries to avoid it.
Tripper swings for the body but McAlister moves out of range.
Tripper throws a hook but McAlister avoids it easily.
McAlister on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Jack Tripper is winning the standup battle so far.
McAlister moves out of range of the strikes.
Tripper lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Tripper scores with a hook.

Tripper finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
McAlister takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Tripper looking to land some kicks to the body here.
McAlister ducks under a wild hook from Tripper.
A low kick from Tripper is predictable there
and McAlister counters with a head kick.
Tripper looks to land a body kick but McAlister moved away.
Tripper bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.


McAlister is rocked!
Tripper throws an off balance right hand
and McAlister counters with a body kick.
Donk. Tripper catches McAlister right on the button with a cross.
McAlister is still on wobbly legs! Can Tripper finish him?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McAlister gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Tripper gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Tripper!
