PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Karol Robotnik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Bzdunek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Robotnik kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Condemned 84 - Face the Aggression. Bzdunek is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Kilka ostatnich krokow. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Mauricio Rocha and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Robotnik holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Robotnik shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bzdunek's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Bzdunek escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Robotnik gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Bzdunek is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Robotnik defends well.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bzdunek will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Robotnik makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Robotnik has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Robotnik connects with a nice short shot to Bzdunek's temple.

Robotnik's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
