The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matthews takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Vranic misses the shot to the body.
Vranic checks a leg kick.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Matthews.
Matthews has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Vranic swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mirsad Vranic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Matthews wants to stand but Vranic has his arm trapped.
Vranic tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Matthews wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Vranic lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Matthews has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Matthews and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Vranic lands a nice hook to Matthews's body. Matthews takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Vranic avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Vranic swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Matthews waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Vranic.
Matthews walks into a stiff left hand from Vranic.
Vranic catches Matthews with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Matthews moves forwards but Vranic connects with a nice, crisp jab.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Vranic scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Matthews throws a jab when Vranic was well out of range.
Vranic bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Clay Matthews will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Matthews looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Vranic lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Vranic lands a head shot.
Matthews with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Vranic to score with a decent uppercut.
Matthews throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Vranic sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Matthews looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Vranic is fending him off so far but Matthews persists. Nope, Vranic circles away and we're back to standing.

Vranic fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Matthews to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Matthews looks to clinch but Vranic throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Matthews taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
