Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tanishk Soni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davis comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Sober by Tool kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis scores with a nice right hand.
Soni wants to clinch up but Davis keeps it at a distance.
Soni tries to close the distance and clinch up but Davis swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Davis takes a swing at Soni's ribcage but misses.
Davis closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Soni quickly recovers to half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Soni looking for submissions off his back.
Davis thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Soni's head.
Davis is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Soni regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Davis.
Soni wants to sweep here but Davis controlling him for the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Davis is in close to Soni's body, working some short punches and elbows.
It looks like Tanishk Soni has been cut.
Davis throws a big right hand that misses.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Davis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Davis drops back, looking for a kneebar! Soni looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Soni looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Soni!

Davis tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Soni is looking to take a break and control but Davis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Davis sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Davis regains full guard. Nicely done.

Davis tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Davis had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Soni defends it easily.
Davis is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Soni defends well.
Davis throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Soni escapes and throws Davis's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Davis sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Soni is working for a kimura but Davis is defending it quite comfortably.
Davis has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Davis looking for submissions off his back.
Soni trying to control the action but Davis is working from the bottom.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Soni is posturing up here but Davis has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Soni tries to roll out but it's too tight and Soni has to tap! Slick submission there by Davis!
