Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jaakko Savolainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darkness Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones misses with a head kick.
Jones closes the distance and pushes Savolainen back into the cage.
Savolainen fails to pull guard.
Savolainen tries to pull guard but Jones holds him up against the cage and eventually Savolainen drops back down to his feet.
Savolainen gets control of Jones's arms and successfully pulls guard. Savolainen will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Savolainen bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Jones is trying to control Savolainen's posture but Savolainen avoids it.
Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Savolainen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

You can see the frustration on Jones's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Savolainen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
