Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Aoki Kakashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akira Ishikawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kakashi comes into the arena with ASAP Rocky-Palace blaring out of the sound system. Ishikawa has chosen mindshift genki sudo as his entrance music. Akira Ishikawa struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 137.0lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Aoki Kakashi has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ishikawa is pressed up against the cage. Kakashi has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ishikawa down to the mat. Ishikawa avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Ishikawa lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kakashi circles away quickly and effectively.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Kakashi counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Ishikawa is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Kakashi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ishikawa as he avoids it easily.
Kakashi misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Ishikawa's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Ishikawa duly obliges.
Nice takedown defense from Ishikawa. No joy for Kakashi on that attempt.

Kakashi is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Ishikawa defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Kakashi is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Ishikawa is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kakashi bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Kakashi is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Ishikawa is trying to escape and Kakashi transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Ishikawa is forced to tap! Nice work there by Kakashi! Very nice indeed!
