PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Everth Cabaret (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabe Faber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cabaret's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Gratitude. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crunch! Faber slams his shin into Cabaret's torso.

Faber lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Cabaret or not.

Cabaret tries for a takedown but Faber sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Cabaret shoots in for a double leg but Faber sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Faber will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Faber swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Cabaret blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cabaret is trying to drag Faber to the mat but Faber just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Faber creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Faber has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Faber throws a big uppercut that drops Cabaret! More strikes from Faber and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Cabaret lies dazed against the cage as Faber celebrates with his cornermen!
