And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mortis misses with a low kick.
Kessler lands with a thumping leg kick.
Mortis with a nice cross.
Kessler pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kessler keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Mortis.
Kessler swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kessler's corner calls for a 1-2. Kessler obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Kessler throws a leg kick
and Mortis counters with a one-two to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mortis fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Kessler to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Kessler looks to clinch but Mortis throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Kessler taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Purpura Mortis!
During a confident post fight interview, Purpura Mortis thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
