The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Venturia swinging wildly here.
Venturia tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Smaug closes the distance and clinches.
Smaug tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Venturia's elbow.
Smaug tries to work over Venturia's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Smaug scores with a hook to the body.
Venturia wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Smaug tries to throw a body punch but Venturia avoids it by throwing Smaug back against the cage.
Venturia is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Smaug.
Venturia blocks an uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Venturia has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Venturia has had enough of the clinch but Smaug keeps him there for the moment.
Venturia blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Smaug has Venturia pressed against the cage, preventing Venturia from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Jesse Venturia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smaug takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Smaug scores with a jab. Venturia acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Smaug lands a nice shot that snaps Venturia's head back.

Smaug is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Venturia like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Venturia from another fist facial!
