Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Buddy Barnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinichi Onizuka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barnett comes into the arena with Stand Up blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Onizuka's choice of entrance music: Kurupt ft. TK Beatz - Outta Tha Country. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Buddy Barnett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shinichi Onizuka!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Leandro Rodrigues and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Onizuka slips a jab and a cross from Barnett.
Barnett moves forwards but Onizuka connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Onizuka stuns Barnett with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Onizuka shoots in for a double leg but Barnett sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Onizuka misses with a hook to the body
and Barnett counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Barnett not doing much here.
Barnett looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Onizuka with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Barnett passes to full mount!
Barnett cracks Onizuka with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Barnett fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Onizuka tries to reverse the position but Barnett maintains control.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Barnett landing strikes from the mount and Onizuka is in trouble!

Onizuka tries to hold on but Barnett postures up.

Barnett has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Barnett lands a nice shot to the head.

Barnett seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Barnett is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Barnett landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Onizuka kicks off Barnett and gets to his feet.
Onizuka throws a hook but Barnett avoids it easily.
Barnett shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Barnett uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Onizuka.
The fight stays on the outside here - Barnett looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Onizuka dives in and grabs Barnett's left leg, looking for a takedown. Barnett pushes down on Onizuka's head and hops out.
Onizuka has a takedown stuffed.
Buddy Barnett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shinichi Onizuka.
Barnett digs a good body shot into Onizuka's ribs.
Barnett works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Barnett dives in and grabs Onizuka's left leg, looking for a takedown. Onizuka pushes down on Barnett's head and hops out.
Onizuka throws the left hand but Barnett avoids the punch easily.

Barnett swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Barnett scores with a leg kick.
Onizuka connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Barnett's hands.
Onizuka jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Onizuka stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Onizuka wants it to stay on the feet.
Onizuka displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Barnett throws out the jab.
Onizuka keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Onizuka ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Onizuka avoids the head kick by Barnett.
Barnett throws a hook to the side of Onizuka's head but Onizuka sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Onizuka feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Barnetts jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Barnett throws an overhand right that lands on Onizuka's shoulder, as Onizuka tries to avoid the shot.
A decent looking cross lands there for Onizuka.
Barnett throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Onizuka paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Onizuka connects with a good right hand that stumbles Barnett. Barnett circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Barnett misses with a two punch combination.
Onizuka works over Barnett's head and body with a nice combination.
Barnett is rocked!
Onizuka bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Barnett's head.
Oh Barnett is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Onizuka circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Barnett tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Onizuka wins by KO!
