PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Moe King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karate Kid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King comes to the cage accompanied by Carry on. Moe King looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Moe King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Karate Kid!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

King closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kid's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Kid utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Kid pulls King in close to his closed guard and prevents King from doing any damage or advancing position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
King cracks Kid with a solid left hand.
Kid wants to sweep but no luck.
Kid bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in King's guard.
Kid trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Kid not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Karate Kid.
Kid bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of King's head.
King fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
King is breathing heavily.

King gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Kid lands a body punch in the clinch.

King breaks the clinch.
King has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kid.
Kid jabs King right on the nose. King blinks but takes it well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kid instigates a clinch.

Kid breaks from the clinch.
Karate Kid is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kid goes for a small jab and connects. Now Kid goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! King stumbles back but Kid runs in with a huge uppercut knocking King to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if King will ever be the same after a knockout like that.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Karate Kid!
Karate Kid decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
