Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gaius Arabi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Humberto Manuel Arboleda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arabi's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Genesis - Justice. Arboleda has chosen ASTAROTH - GUERRA DE METAL as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gaius Arabi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Humberto Manuel Arboleda!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Joseph Jones and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arboleda tries to clinch up but Arabi circles away and keeps his distance.
Arboleda thows a body kick. Arabi tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Arboleda plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Arabi misses with a wild body shot.
Arboleda tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Arabi fails with the takedown.

Arabi throws a shot from downtown. Arboleda moves away and avoids it.

Arabi tightens his grip and picks Arboleda up, before dumping him to the ground. Arboleda manages to land in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Arabi drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Arabi jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Arboleda looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Arabi is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Arabi is fighting to break Arboleda's control of his arms but Arboleda is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Arabi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Arboleda swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Arabi is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Arboleda is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Arboleda has escaped and now he's on top!

Arabi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Arboleda gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Arabi is looking for a sweep. Arboleda is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Arabi is looking to improve his position.
Arboleda seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Arboleda wants to take a breather but Arabi is having none of it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Arboleda got a little sloppy there for a moment and Arabi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Arboleda has managed to get both his arms back between Arabi's legs - danger averted.

Gaius Arabi overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

That was a close second round but I would say that Gaius Arabi will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Arabi, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
