Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Robert Van Winkle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abe Goldman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Abe Goldman!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Winkle throws a low kick but Goldman moves out of range easily.
Goldman moves out of range as Van Winkle throws a body kick.
Van Winkle looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Goldman takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Goldman connects with a right hand. Van Winkle shakes it off.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Van Winkle is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Goldman has managed to free his arm - good work.
Van Winkle is looking to take a break and control but Goldman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Goldman has hold of Van Winkle's hands but Van Winkle slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Van Winkle is stalling here. Goldman is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Van Winkle seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Goldman has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Goldman takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Goldman throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

It looks like Robert Van Winkle has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Van Winkle shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Van Winkle was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Goldman's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Van Winkle can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Goldman is looking to escape.

Van Winkle thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Van Winkle fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Van Winkle swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Goldman is now in Van Winkle's guard. A big mistake from Van Winkle there, giving up the dominant position!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Van Winkle drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Goldman stops Van Winkle from passing to mount.
Goldman managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Van Winkle.
Van Winkle postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Robert Van Winkle overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Van Winkle cracks Goldman with a big right hand but Goldman just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Van Winkle is looking to take a break and control but Goldman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Van Winkle misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The strikes coming from Van Winkle are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Abe Goldman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

I would just about give that final round to Abe Goldman.
